Founded in 2022 by a group of passionate local rowers, the need was quickly identified for a Rowing Club within the town that offered the newly Olympic discipline of sliding seat Coastal Rowing.

Whitby Coastal Rowing Club has since gone from strength to strength. Beginning it's life as a handful of people with one private Double Scull to an established club with a fleet of boats and an ever expanding member-base.

 

 The club has since gone on to host its own Annual Club Regatta as well as being host to the 2025 English Coastal Championships.

 

Our club members have travelled across the UK, racing both Nationally and Internationally over the last 2 years, with some of our members representing their Country at an International level.
